- The Adidas Pulseboost HD is a product that is meant for those who like to take to the roads with style. The silhouette is made of Adapt Knit, a feature that accommodates the natural form of the foot. Close-weave portions on the forefoot, stitched-on eyestays, and printed side overlays are what helps with the preciseness of the in-shoe hug. The icing-on-top is a sock-like, one-piece opening that aims to stave off irritation and hot spots.

- Serving as the midsole unit of this product is Boost HD. This foam piece is touted to offer more cushioning and push-off power compared to the regular one that’s used in many of the prior models released by Adidas. Giving protection against wear-and-tear is a layer of Continental™ rubber, and it has a cascade of geometrical patterns to heighten surface adhesion.

The Adidas Pulseboost HD was made using the standard measurements. When it comes to size, the available options range from half to full sizes. It is recommended to test the shoe from brick and mortar stores first or check user reviews before making a purchase decision. The women’s iteration has received a bit of criticism for apparently being a size smaller than usual.

Widthwise, the variants that are procurable are D - Medium and B - Medium for men and women, respectively. The form-fitting upper and the semi-curved last work together to accommodate those with low or medium foot dimensions.

Continental™ is the brand of rubber that is used for the Adidas Pulseboost HD. This compound is traditionally used for car tires. Its inclusion has the goal of giving a feeling of speed and precise movements over the asphalt. It is also touted to handle both wet and dry ground.

A cascading geometrical design graces the facade of the rubber exterior. Squares and rectangles of varying heights heighten the grip capacity of the contact points, thereby potentially improving the quality of actions such as swerving, braking or turning. Each protruding texture is not too prominent as to make the platform unbalanced.

Underfoot cushioning is the responsibility of the Boost HD. This technology runs the entire length of the Adidas Pulseboost HD, serving as the unit that protects against impact shock and energizes the forefoot lifts. HD indicates that the cushioning unit has a denser construction compared to the regular Boost variant, distinguishing itself as more stable and more reactive to movements.

A sockliner is placed right above the main midsole. This add-on offers a soft surface for the bottom of the foot, ensuring a stealthy ride that is also non-irritating. It can be removed or replaced with a new one if the runner wishes to do so. Also, it is not stiff or heavy.

The upper unit of the Adidas Pulseboost HD is made of Adapt Knit, material that is lightweight, flexible and able to acclimate itself to the exact outline of the foot that is wearing it. It has a bevy of breathing holes to permit air into the foot-chamber and maintain a cool and dry ride.

While the rest of the upper has a relaxed and stretchy construction, the vamp and the toe box of this road running shoe feature close-weave arrangements to enforce durability and protection against bumps and loose-threading.

The lateral and medial sides of the silhouette feature the signature three stripes that make up the logo of Adidas. This set of vertical parallelograms also acts as the overlay system, ensuring that the in-shoe experience is secure and snug.

The instep features a couple of stitched-on eyestays, one for each side. These reinforcements are made of fabric. Their tops have discrete lace-holes which welcome the semi-round shoelaces that make up the fit-adjustment system. The isolated design of the eyelets is meant to decrease pressure on the bridge of the foot, thereby preventing irritating occurrences such as hot spots or material bunching.

A one-piece opening graces the Adidas Pulseboost HD. This configuration gives the feeling of merely being wrapped by a sock, thus removing the need to wear actual socks. One-piece openings grace many Adidas shoes, including the no-tongue version of the Ultra Boost series.

A seamless interior construction helps the one-piece opening when it comes to furthering the sock-like feel of the wrap.

A pull-tab graces the instep, and it rests on top of the front collar. It helps to widen the opening of the shoe, thereby making it easy to facilitate the foot into, and out of, the interior compartment. This add-on has a QR code which can be scanned by phone cameras to access an online portal for Adidas-curated music, community meet-ups, and other activities.
