The low-top Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 runs true to size. Its moderately padded tongue has a reflective detailing in the middle which helps hold the laces together. This sneaker is offered in men’s sizes. Women buyers may get an equivalent men’s size by going down 1.5 their usual foot length.

The makeup of the Adidas Originals Yeezy Boost 700 is a departure from the familiar streamlined look of Yeezy iterations. Its robust body and chiseled midsole create a stunning resemblance with some of the high fashion sneakers flourishing in the market such as the Balenciaga Triple S and the Gucci Rhyton Leather.

There are hidden features on this running-inspired shoe that adds character to it. The 3M reflective stripes on the side panels are concealed under the mesh that pops when hit by flash. Nestling below the upper is a full-length Boost sole cradled by a foam body. When hit by light, the Three Stripes emblem pops under the mesh layer. This sneaker’s funky-appearing thickset shape creates an athleisure vibe that goes well with joggers, track pants, and shorts.

Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 Wave Runner

First love never dies, so goes for the official initial drop of the Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 also called the Wave Runner which instantly won the hearts of Yeezy die-hards. After Kanye was seen a couple of times parading this style, the Solid Gray/ Chalk White / Core Black took center stage.

You can be playful with this Yeezy Boost 700 Wave Runner by tying it up with a grey jogger or straight black pants like how Kanye does it. Its seemingly universal style can be paired with military-inspired pants, jeans, overalls or you may slide it under a trench coat.

Mimicking the Stan Smith green detailing on the heel, the Three Stripes dropped the Sand/Green edition. This kick is made up of an off-white mesh underlay, grey suede overlays, sand-colored eyestays, and a popping green accent at the back.

Get comfy like Kourtney Kardashian and swing the Wave Runner with a classic pair of grey sweatpants and a neon orange long sleeve tee. Or do it a la Kim Kardashian by sporting a grey bra top, a zip crop top and light colored sweatpants with cuffed hem.

  Yeezy Boost 700 Mauve

If you want a purple sneaker that isn’t flashy at all, perhaps the mauve shade of the Yeezy Boost 700 by Adidas might strike your fancy.  This pale purple shade almost appears like brown from afar which creates a lovely contrast when paired with khaki, coffee-colored, midnight blue, and indigo toned pants.

The suede toe texture on the upper with grey mesh underneath gives this dad sneaker a premium look which is made even more interesting with a gum rubber on the outsole. Its color is by far the darkest from the Yeezy Boost 700 series which doesn’t appear dirty quickly unlike the Wave Runner Yeezy Boost 700.

Its color also grants you the freedom to pair this up with clothing suitable for daytime and evening affairs. Be bold and adventurous by tying this up with exciting hues of sneakers such as neon green or neon orange, so it doesn’t appear like those kicks fitted for lawn mowing.

The Yeezy Boost 700 by Adidas leans on the functional appeal of its responsive Boost midsole, which is integrated with a supportive foam base. Its attractive stocky built makes it a magnet for attention while the hidden reflective detailing around the shoe, as well as the different layers and texture on this sneaker such as hairy suede, velvety suede, smooth leather, mesh, and 3M reflective gum sole, makes this chunky-soled sneaker pop in the crowd.

After Kanye left the Yeezy 2 to the Swoosh brand to join Adidas, he launched Yeezy Boost 750 under the Three-Stripe label in 2015. This drop was succeeded by the release of the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 a little later that year at the New York Fashion Week. The third iteration, which is the Adidas Yeezy 950 Duckboot, had a completely different silhouette than the first two. This version is said to be the second most expensive Yeezy design ever retailed, following the one produced by Kanye and Louis Vuitton.

In January 2016, Kanye teased Yeezy fans by wearing an unnamed chunky, dad shoe which was later coined as the Yeezy Calabasas Runner. Finally, in February 2017, the same silhouette resurfaced during Kanye West’s 5th New York Fashion Week show in three colorways. The color mixtures are white/ teal/ orange/ black, while the particular colorway worn by Kanye earlier on was the white/ teal and triple black version.

In August 2017, the Calabasas Runner got its official name when the online retailer Yeezy Supply introduced a blocky version of the Yeezy Boost called the Adidas Yeezy Boost 700. Sold at a $300 pre-order price tag, the actual Yeezy Boost 700 also called the Wave Runner was distributed in November of the same year.

This low-top kick is the first chunky silhouette in Kanye’s signature collection. The initial salvo of this design is the Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 in Solid Gray/ Chalk White/ Core Black. After its exclusive release, this was restocked the following year in various US online retailers.

In March 2018, Kanye teased his followers with an Instagram post of a winter collection version of this running-inspired sneaker daubed in mauve. Just like its Adidas Yeezy Boost 350, the brand released a second installment of the Yeezy Boost 700. Labeled as the Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 V2, this hybrid style is done with the same Blush colorway seen on the Yeezy 500.
