  • In the F-Lite 275, Inov-8 attempts to create a “do-it-all” shoe which would provide support and flexibility for CrossFit, cushioning for running, and stability for weightlifting. It builds on the success of the acclaimed F-Lite models but also introduces several new features to boost the performance.
  • The trainer combines the brand’s renowned Powerflow midsole with the Powerheel compound. This blend aims to enhance cushioning and shock attenuation while keeping the heel firm enough for steady weight training.
  • The lace-up system is now reinforced with the Adapterstrap. It is a hook-and-loop closure that securely locks down the midfoot.

The Inov-8 F-Lite 275 comes in both men’s and women’s versions and typically runs true to size. On the brand’s Fit Scale from 1 to 5, where 5 is the widest, the footwear is graded 4. It implies that the toe box of this model is designed to be roomy to accommodate a comfortable toe-splay. The heel section is still made close-fitting to prevent the foot from wobbling. The fit in the midfoot can be adjusted with the help of the laces and the Adapterstrap.

The F-Lite 275 makes use of the proprietary Sticky Grip rubber. This compound was originally constructed for trail running shoes and, thus, is meant to be durable and grippy on all sorts of indoor and outdoor surfaces.

The multidirectional flex grooves are placed throughout the outsole for flexibility. The most prominent one is the Meta-Flex groove in the forefoot. It creates a natural flexion point for the foot where it is most needed during a cross-training session.

The midfoot portion of the rubber outsole extends up to form the Rope-Tec. This feature keeps the sole protected from chafing during rope climbing. It also ensures traction when the wearer ascends the rope.

The outsole also extends to cover up the toe box. It guards the toes from painful bumping during burpees and other plyometric exercises.

The Inov-8 F-Lite 275 employs the tried-and-tested Powerflow midsole. It serves to deliver ample shock attenuation in the heel and a responsive cushioning in the forefoot.

The back of the midsole unit is also supplied with the Powerheel compound. It is made to be dense and incompressible to offer a steady platform for athletes lifting heavy weights.

The heel is elevated above the toes by 8 mm in this shoe. This differential provides extra padding for running and allows for better ankle mobility during squats and lifting.

The Dynamic Fascia Band shank is installed in the midsole. It contributes to the energy return during running, jumping, and other agile exercises.

The trainer is covered in mesh for a breathable experience. This material has wider ventilation pores in the forefoot to eliminate heat and moisture during rigorous workouts.

The polyurethane (PU) overlays are strategically-placed in the areas that require support and abrasion resistance. A thicker PU layer covers the toe box for enhanced protection.

The Inov-8 F-Lite 275 uses the External Heel Cage in the form of synthetic panels on both sides of the heel. They ensure steadiness during side-to-side movements.

Athletes can adjust the fit with the new Adapterstrap on top of the lace-up closure. The strap hugs the midfoot to keep the foot firmly in place.
