The Max Aura is an interesting offer from the Jordan brand. It has the overall aesthetics of the Air Jordan 10 and the Air Jordan 11. In fact, many fans consider this as an affordable replica of the iconic Jordan basketball shoes.
This mid-top basketball shoe has an Air Max unit at the heel. It has herringbone on the outsole and its upper is made of a combination of different types of leather.
Cushion. The Jordan Max Aura, as its name suggests, has an Air Max unit at the heel. This gives the wearer a type of impact protection and responsiveness that reminds them of Nike’s famed releases. Like in many Nike basketball shoes that use the Air Max technology, the unit is made visible through a transparent cage at the rear part of the midsole.
Traction. The Max Aura goes straightforward with its traction. It features herringbone on its rubber outsole. As many players will say, one rarely goes wrong with herringbone. Stopping on a dime will probably be not a problem with this one.
Length and Width. Not much has been said about how these Jordan basketball shoes fit. To be safe, new purchasers are advised to just go with their usual sizes. To be a bit safer, they should visit a local store and try a pair on if they can. Nothing will ever be more accurate than actual experience.
Lockdown. The lockdown mechanism is perhaps the most borrowed aspect of the Max Aura. Just by looking at it, one can immediately see the resemblance between the Max Aura’s and the Air Jordan 11’s lacing systems. The Aura also has in its design the elastic bands that reinforce the Air Jordan 10’s tongue. Because of this, it is safe to say that these Jordan basketball shoes offer the combined lockdown power of the Air Jordan 10 and the Air Jordan 11 at a very discounted rate.
At the heel, there is an extra leather layer, which visually gives off the impression that the shoe has a heel counter of some sort.
The Jordan Max Aura basically has layers of tumbled and synthetic leather in the upper. The inner heel area is composed of neoprene, which is another direct lift from the design of the Air Jordan 11.
There is no question that the Jordan Max Aura resembles the Air Jordans 10 and 11 so much. Because of this, it will always have the expensive look that has always been associated with the prominent Air Jordan line.
As far as branding is concerned, the Jordan Max Aura has a small Jumpman logo on the lateral side of the heel overlay. It has a prominent “JORDAN” callout on top of the tongue.
