- The Nike Reax 8 TR is an update to the Reax TR series. It caters to those who need a shoe for various types of workout routines.
- Unlike the previous version, the Reax 8 TR comes in two design options with different proportions of synthetic leather and mesh. They feature perforations and vaster mesh patches for better ventilation.
- The platform builds on the success of the previous models. The midsole features a unique Reax heel unit for shock absorption and cushioning. The rubber outsole inherits its pattern from the earlier versions as well.
The Nike Reax 8 TR is only available for men. It comes in a variety of full and half sizes and typically runs true to size. Widthwise, it is offered in a standard D – Medium profile. The heel, midfoot and forefoot areas follow average measurements which accommodate athletes with medium foot dimensions.
Textured rubber pods are placed throughout the outsole unit of the Reax 8 TR. They vary in size, growing more prominent in the areas with the most pressure. Such a disposition ensures more efficient grip and protection for the platform.
The flex grooves in the forefoot help the foot bend naturally as it goes through the gait cycle.
The Nike Reax 8 TR utilizes a sizeable Reax heel unit in which multiple pillars support the heel and midfoot sections. Its purpose is to provide the optimum cushioning and shock absorption. It also forms a stable base to prevent the heel from wobbling during lateral movement and when lifting weights. This design pulls cues from the sturdy TPU base found in dedicated weightlifting shoes.
Additional cushioning is delivered by a soft footbed that’s placed directly above the primary midsole unit.
The Reax 8 TR is offered in two design options. One of them is entirely covered in synthetic leather for enhanced support. An abundance of perforations makes sure that the foot chamber stays ventilated. The other option has a more open and breathable construction with mesh patches on the toe box and midfoot.
Both designs have a mesh tongue and a breathable fabric lining for plush support.
The synthetic leather reinforcements throughout the unit give more structure to the façade and protect the shoe against the wear-and-tear.
A full lace-up closure is used for a customized lockdown. The laces hook into the midfoot overlays to help in achieving a more snug fit for the entire foot.
The tongue and collar are padded for a more comfortable ride.
