The Nike Zoom 2K sneaker, one of the Swoosh’s recent lifestyle kick offerings, is available in men’s and women’s sizes. Guys can choose from sizes 3.5 to 15 while the women can select between 5 to 16.5. The shoe features an inner cleatie construction that provides a slip-on functionality and snug fit, while a webbed lacing system offers enhanced stability and support. This kick runs true to size.
Designed with a retro hoops-inspired aesthetic, sportswear giant Nike deliberately decked out the Zoom 2k with modern details that add a touch of futuristic flair making for one unique looking shoe. A rather minimal design, this sneaker took the opposite route by settling for bold details such as multiple branding, unique lacing system, protruding overlays, exaggerated curves, and color play.
Bolder colorways offer a stylish, more noticeable design compared to monochromatic ones providing an added boost to your everyday wear. However, the neutral ones have the upper hand when it comes to versatility and convenience in mixing and matching. Still, whatever color your heart decides upon this kick’s stylish details are sure to complement and add oomph to your casual ensemble.
The fusion of heritage style and modern comfort is perhaps the Nike Zoom 2K sneaker’s most notable feature. However, the shoe is equipped with an abundance of details ultimately making it an incredible pair that leaving the specificities would be a mistake.
The upper’s main attraction is the rubber wings that wrap from the outsole all the way to the side. Apart from its design contribution the wings also provide enhanced stability. The mix of leather, mesh, rubber, and synthetic leather display rich textures that elevate its overall design. Moreover, other components such as exaggerated heel and branding further cement the early 2000s aesthetic inspiration.
Lastly, Zoom Air cushioning, breathable mesh forefoot, inner sleeve construction, and webbed lacing system all contribute to satisfying modern comfort requirements.
From dishing almost all 90s basketball models from their archive, the Swoosh brand shows no signs of stopping as they continue to move forward in releasing sneakers that are inspired by the new millennium. One of these models is the Nike Zoom 2K, a new silhouette that resembles basketball shoes from the Nike Alpha Project. The sneaker displays an evident late-1990s / early 2000s hoops attitude about it - the mini logos to the bulging pods and bold curves all evoke that era of Nike basketball.
The new retro-inspired sneaker was initially introduced in three colorways and Nike eventually released more colorways. Some of the most sought-after hues of Nike Zoom 2K are red, all white, and pink. Shoppers are also offered a wider variety of color options such as black/anthracite/black, sail/black/white, white/black, deep royal blue/white/orange peel, wolf grey/dark grey/white, off white/university red/obsidian, oil grey/light cream, plum dust/pale pink/plum chalk, and all white.
- Heel pull-tabs are provided to act as an aid in easier on and off.
- The words ‘“Zoom 2000” can be read across the loop eyelets.
- The Nike Zoom 2K trainers are offered in medium width.
- Cutout accents near the ankle provide a one-of-a-kind design.
- Zoom branding is placed on the lateral side’s rear part as an emblem that informs the shoe is equipped with Zoom Air cushioning technology.
